This week we had a double baptism here in the ward! Our friend Elba got baptized, as well as someone the Hermanas were teaching, named Rafael. It was a great service, lots of people came. Including Maura, who is going to be baptized this Saturday. My last companion, Elder Wayment, baptized Elba and I confirmed her.
We had Stake Conference this weekend as well. The area seventy who come was like a comedian, a very good speaker. We also had 24 hour exchanges with the APs. Elder Mickel, the AP who replaced me, came here to my area with me for the day yesterday. He doesn't speak any Spanish. We had a lesson with Maura, and he really wanted to just read something out of the Spanish version of Preach My Gospel. So I started off the lesson and then he asked me what part he should read. I pointed to one of the paragraphs and he let 'er rip! He was falling asleep the rest of the lesson because he couldn't understand anything.
We had a lesson with an old member lady outside her complex and he also read the First Vision in Spanish, and when it came time to say the closing prayer, he really wanted to do it. So he said a super white prayer that he said he'd been working on for a while haha.
It's been a good week! It's already almost Halloween time.
