Bautismo De Maura

This week our friend Maura got baptized! Just like Elba, she wanted my last companion, Elder Wayment, to baptize her, and me to confirm her on Sunday. She was just so happy on Saturday and Sunday, it was the coolest thing. Our bishop is so awesome, he has been on-it about interviewing all the new converts as soon as possible so they can go to the temple to do baptisms. There are so many recent converts in this ward, everyone is so missionary minded. It's the best! There's a huge group of recent converts going to the temple on November 12th! We are working with Elba and Maura to start their family history so they can bring names of their family members to do their temple work. 

Nothing too crazy happening this week, just still staying busy. Hope everyone has a great week!

Bautismo De Elba

Hello everyone,

This week we had a double baptism here in the ward! Our friend Elba got baptized, as well as someone the Hermanas were teaching, named Rafael. It was a great service, lots of people came. Including Maura, who is going to be baptized this Saturday. My last companion, Elder Wayment, baptized Elba and I confirmed her.

We had Stake Conference this weekend as well. The area seventy who come was like a comedian, a very good speaker. We also had 24 hour exchanges with the APs. Elder Mickel, the AP who replaced me, came here to my area with me for the day yesterday. He doesn't speak any Spanish. We had a lesson with Maura, and he really wanted to just read something out of the Spanish version of Preach My Gospel. So I started off the lesson and then he asked me what part he should read. I pointed to one of the paragraphs and he let 'er rip! He was falling asleep the rest of the lesson because he couldn't understand anything.

We had a lesson with an old member lady outside her complex and he also read the First Vision in Spanish, and when it came time to say the closing prayer, he really wanted to do it. So he said a super white prayer that he said he'd been working on for a while haha. 

It's been a good week! It's already almost Halloween time.

Hey everyone!

Don't have any time to write much of an email this week, but here's a bunch of pictures with some of the friends we are teaching, some members, and other missionaries. My companion, Elder Wayment, got transferred. My new companion is Elder Waddell! Have a great week!

La Conferencia General

One more week until transfers here! 

General Conference was great, we were able to watch it with a few different people we are teaching in either their homes, or the homes of members. Not too much to write about this week.
